Character analysis-Arthur, Bob, and Charles
Arthur “Boo” Radley - A recluse who never sets foot outside his house, Boo dominates the imaginations of Jem, Scout, and Dill. He is a powerful symbol of goodness swathed in an initial shroud of creepiness, leaving little presents for Scout and Jem and emerging at an opportune moment to save the children. An intelligent child emotionally damaged by his cruel father. Boo provides an example of the threat that evil poses to innocence and goodness. He is one of the novel’s “mockingbirds,” a good person injured by the evil of mankind.
Bob Ewell - A drunken, mostly unemployed member of Maycomb’s poorest family. In his knowingly wrongful accusation that Tom Robinson raped his daughter, Ewell represents the dark side of the South: ignorance, poverty, squalor, and hate-filled racial prejudice.
Charles Baker “Dill” Harris - Jem and Scout’s summer neighbor and friend. Dill is a diminutive, confident boy with an active imagination. He becomes fascinated with Boo Radley and represents the perspective of childhood innocence throughout the novel.
Character analysis-Scout
Scout is a very unusual little girl both in her own qualities and in her social position. She is unusually smart, unusually confident (she fights boys without being scared!), thoughtful , and unusually good. In terms of her social identity, she is unusual for being a tomboy in the prim and proper Southern world of Maycomb. You will quickly find out when reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" that Scout is who she is because of the way Atticus has raised her. He has nurtured her mind, conscience, and individuality without bogging her down in fussy social hypocrisies and notions of propriety. While most girls in Scout’s position would be wearing dresses and learning manners, Scout thanks to Atticus’s hands-off parenting style, wears overalls and learns to climb trees with Jem and Dill. She does not always grasp social niceties, and human behavior often baffles her (as when one of her teachers criticizes Hitler’s prejudice against Jews while indulging in her own prejudice against blacks that doesn't make sense to her).
How to kill a mockingbird book analysis
The book To Kill A Mockingbird is a story about innocence, courage and knowledge . In the beginning the main character Scout starts out to be a very immature child not knowing the racist times around her. As the story goes on she gains knowledge of these times by fellow kids around her accusing her dad of being something he's not it was an insult. Her dad was being courageous of a black man being faulsey accused of raping a white girl. Her dad Atticus is a crimnal defense attorney only doing his job and not discriminating against this man. The line in the book "Shoot, all the bluejays you want, but remember its a sin to kill mockingbird" is referring to the black man in the story named Tom. He symbolises a mockingbird because all mockingbirds do is sing for our enjoyment and stay out of harms way so if you kill them its a sin. He is the mockingbird in the book and all he does is stay out of harms way and is accused of a crime and in the end is eventually guilty and dies.

MId-Summer Night's Dream Question #6
In the play "A Mid-Summers Night's Dream" there are four young lovers Lysander,Demetrius,Helena, and Hermia. Some critics have suggested that the are indistinguishable meaning they are the same(or very similar). I do not think that they are all the same though. They may be similar but i think the differences out weigh the similarities. In the beginnings of the play Egeus is talking to Theseus about Hermia not loving Demetrius like her father wanted her to do. Hermia wanted to get married to Lysander her one true love and he loved her back. Demetrius was in love with Hermia as well but she did not like him at all! Helena was jealous of Hermia because Demetrius loved Hermia not her. She loves Demetrius but he hates her with a passion.
So now that you have read who loves who and who hates who you probably think that they are all similar? Well there not they have so many differences. First of all Lysander and Demetrius may both love Hermia that's true but Hermia only loves one of them back, Lysander. Helena loves Demetrius but he doesn't love her she doesn't share qualities with any of the other characters. She is bigger than Hermia cause in the play she calls Hermia a dwarf. Nobody is in love with her (until later in the play). The characters are not the same the only time they are at most similar is when a magical spell is put on them. They are both couples and both in love with someone. But the true similarities should be judged based on their true selves not on them after a spell. If you tried to put Helena as Hermia's role it wouldn't work our because Helena is described as having long legs and tall where as Hermia is short like a dwarf.
In the group of lovers i personally liked Hermia the best because they made her out to be the prettiest and the most fairest in Athens. Helena is not compared to Hermia says Lysander and Demetrius before they are put on a spell. But that is just my opinion. So in conclusion they are similar in some ways but are different in more meaningful ways. The only thing similar about Hermia and Helena is that their names start with the same letter. If you think they are the same based on that then I don't know what to tell you...

Which World Is worse?
In my opinion i think 1984 is more ominous then Brave New World. For instance in 1984 you are always being watched so whatever you do they see...They will then come in the night take you away to the ministry to be investigated. They torture you until you confess then...you die. I'm pretty sure in Brave New World you don't get tortured to confess to something. Also in 1984 when you have kids they will join the spies most likely. The only thing wrong with this is that if they overhear you talking rebellious then they will turn you in to the thought police. Then just like i said before they torture you until you confess, then you die.In Brave New World bad things may happen but then the people will just take some soma to forget about it. This may be scary to some of you but if your looking in the view point of the people it isn't scary cause you can just forget everything that is scary. In Brave New World did you ever read about when the kids would turn their parents in to the police? If you did then reread the book cause they don't have parents! So they cant turn them in. In my opinion i think my kids turning me into the police would be scary cause you think you know them well and yall love each other then....BAM!The police are at your door and the kid gets a medal for turning in a traitor. Another reason may be that in 1984 the government is telling you that everything is okay. But in reality there are wars going on, people disappearing, even kids turning in their own parents. Now does that seem okay to you?

A World Without Media
World Without Media
By:Hawkin Nedoff
A world without media would not be safer and improved. We would live with danger, questions, and the rest of the world would be a mystery to us. Media can include TV, Newspaper articles, the radio, or even a poster with some information. These things all give us information about what's new and happening in our society today.
My first reason is that if anything bad is about to happen we wouldn’t know unless someone calls calls us or comes and talks to us in person before it happened. Like if another terrorist attack happens like on 9-11, we wouldn't know about it until about a hour or so after it already happened. The dangers of us finding out late could be like if a terrorist attack was happening how would we know to get to safety if they were planning another one. We would have to rely on someone else to tell us what happened and we all know that people can be forgetful or might not remember it correctly so we either couldn't get the information. Or we would get false information leading us to believe something not true. Or if the world is “going to end” how would we know if a meteor is about to hit the earth and we need to take cover? Certainly not by the radio or TV because there would be no media to tell us about it.
As you probably know there was a shooting in Connecticut at Sandy Cook Elementary, twenty children and six adults were killed. Now when you heard about this how did you find out? TV? Newspaper? Radio? From a friend?Even if you heard it from a friend where do you think they heard it from? Most likely the news or something. Point is that in a world with media influence we wouldn’t have heard about this tragic event. We may have just found out about like a week later because media influence would not have been involved to spread the news. It could be dangerous because how would the other school around that area know to get to safety? There might have been another shooter that is going to a different school while his buddy was at sandy cook . The media could inform other schools to go in lock down until it has been taken care of. If you think about it almost everyone watches TV and they will flip to a channel with some crazy news that just happened. But in the world without media we wouldn’t have commercials to tell us the latest news or newspapers.
Another example maybe not as important as the others but when you wanna go see a movie you wouldn't know what movie is in theatres. Normally you would see the commercials for the movies and when they will be coming out or you could drive past the theatre and see the posters for movies. But in a world without media those things wouldn’t exist. Say you were going to see the Hobbit and when you got in the theatre there were no commercials in the beginning of the show. You won’t know what movies will be coming out so not any of that other stuff they tell you.
Also not mentioned in my essay is that without media the advertisement would be horrible. It would be nearly impossible for someone to start a new business because they wouldn't be able to put up a sign to tell what the business is. So people wont come to the store turning the whole thing into a loss of money. So hopefully now you see a world without media influence would not be a safer and improved world to live in. Like it says in my previous paragraphs we will not know when danger comes, or we won't know the major events happening or we might miss a good movie that comes out. No Advertisement would not be a boon to mankind we would have a bunch of people being confused and not knowing what’s going on.

Finnik Odair summary
Finnik in the Catching Fire book was a very important character. He was from district 4 (fishing) and was a victor at age 14. He is a very attractive man and that's how he won the hunger games. He didn't ask for weapons, food, medicine, or anything but during the game he got a trident which basically meant the games were over because he dominated after that! Katniss says that was the most expensive gift she has ever seen in the Hunger Games. He teams with Katniss and Peeta in the 75th Hunger Games. The cornucopia he finds 2 tridents and covers for Katniss to get the bow and arrows. Now they both have their weapons so they will be pretty amazing out there. But Katniss still doesn't trust him so to try and prove it he swam to get Peeta and bring him to land. Even though Katniss doesn't trust him throughout the book he still is a important character that helped save Katniss's life during the games.
Catching fire #3
The way the older tributes are back! Finnik has to do CPR to save Peeta because Peeta cant swim to get to the cornicopia with Katniss and Finnik.Katniss bands together (despite the near impossibility of communication between districts) with several other people in the games. But what she didn't know that they were all trying to save her life and were helping her even though it may have seemed like they wern't. They all work together to figure out the different things that happen at different times in the arena. Once they figured it out they found out how to break the force field around the arena and escape. The gamemaker was actually on Katniss's side the whole time and was waiting to rescue her once the field was down. She wakes up and finds herself on a ship unaware about whats happening. She finds the Gamemaker and Gale they explain it to her and now its time for book 3.
Catching Fire #2
So the Capital is really hateing District 12 right now. Plus all the crazyness in the rest of Panem! I like that this book has the time and space to give us a better look at the whole of Panem, since The Hunger Games had to be so focused on just District 12 and the Capitol. It gives a better view of how the entire country is reacting to one little act of defiance.Interesting right? Last time into the arena, it was romance. now, it’s pregnancy...Katniss must act like shes pregant with Peetas baby to seem like a helpless girl who cant do anything in the arena. But little do they know she will most likey be a feirce fighter. Her mentore is trying to get her to team with people inthe Games so she has a better chance. She doesnt want to though...she doesnt trust them.
Catching Fire #1
In The Hunger Games Katniss had one job.... survive in the Arena. To do this she used her skills and knowledge gained through years of surviving in District 12. But she also had to be charming and crowd pleaseing. In the first section of Catching Fire, she has a new job, calm the districts that had been wowed by her act of defiance. For this, she used brand-new skills like pretending to be in love, pretending to care about fashion and luxuries, and getting engaged to Peeta. Will it work? Is she capable of doing it? Will she even be able to just not make it worse? What will happen next?

Satire Essay "The Internet Doesnt Lie..."
Do you have one of those fancy social networking accounts? I do, If you don't have one you should consider getting one because you can do tons of stuff on it!! You can talk to your friends , like their photos, and even write on their walls!! You just click the "News Feed" button and you see the statuses of all your friends. Social websites also contain fun games where you can have a farm and earn fake money! Or if you really want you can use your pay pal or visa credit cards to buy the new x2 tractor for harvest season! You can pay different prices for better stuff!! If you get tired of playing those amazing games you can just keep posting statuses about random stuff nobody cares about or wants to read. If you get annoyed with people who do that kinda stuff as well just go like a bunch of their statuses, photos, and random stuff so that you will be in all of their notifications!!!! Alot of the times you will see pictures that say stuff along the lines of "Like this picture picture or your mom will die... Ignore this picture if you hate your mom" or "(A picture of a starving kid in Africa) Like to give this kid food, Ignore if you want him to die". And I always like them cause I love my mom and don't want the poor kid to starve! And my friends will see it so they will think I'm a good person. Cause all the cool people like the pictures that say that stuff. But one time I heard about a status that my friends uncle Larry saw from this co-worker in his office building saw from his cousin that said "He didn't like a picture that said if he didn't like it his mom would die..the next day his mom died..."Then i was like "I have to like everyone of those pictures because i don't want my mom to die!!!!". But foreal you need to like those because everything on the Internet is true! Like i saw that the world was gonna end in 2012. So that must be true cause it was on the Internet... and they cant lie on the Internet. But i'll get into the world ending conversation another time.

Katniss Everdeen Summry
Katniss is many things....A leader, a fighter, a role model, a hunter, a hunted, a friend, a daughter, and a lover. Those are just some of the things katniss is in the book mocking jay. When she and Gale receive permission to go aboveground in District 13 and hunt together like they use to in district 12, she's excited mostly because as she thinks to herself "We could be ourselves again". The self she remembers that she is the Hunger Games victor, the Quarter Quell escaper, and the face of the rebel movement. Katniss had a strong and clear identity before she entered the Games. She was a girl who thrived on being her family's caretaker and providing for others. A girl who sought out freedom wherever she could find it. A girl who would protect her little sister, Prim at all costs even if it meant her dieing a brutal death in the Hunger Games.(In the first book she voulenteered for prim in the hunger games and won.) So you see that Katniss Everdeen is a very courageous girl and will always be remembered for it in the book and in our world today.
Mocking jay summary #3
Katniss is afraid for her life. Though Peeta has improved a bit.... he's still hijacked and hates Katniss(shocker rihgt?). Her commander Boggs, agrees that she should watch out. But Boggs is one of the first to die. Before he died he gave her command of their unit.
Katniss tells the others she has a secret mission to kill President Snow and they follow her on what turns out to be a suicide mission. One by one their team members are "sacrificed" as they make their way to the heart of the Capitol. Only five of them including Katniss, Gale, and Peeta, are left by the time they reach the center. Then they all get separated.
During the ensuing battle many innocent children die. Members of the rebels medical team including Prim, Katniss's sister are also killed. Katniss is badly wounded again. On the pluse side the rebels have gained control and have captured President Snow. Katniss visits the imprisoned President Snow who says she should blame President Coin (of the rebels) for the attack and Prim's death. We can all believe Katniss is pretty ticked off right? After all she did volunteer for the hunger games in the first book.
And maybe he's right. It appears the rebels staged the final attack. An the weapon Gale made (you know the one Katniss thought was inhumane) could have been the one that killed Katniss's sister. Katniss can't forgive him it wouldnt be right.
In a meeting right before President Snows execution President Coin says that the remaining Hunger Games victors must vote to determine whether or not the new rebel government should start up the Hunger Games again as a way to punish the citizens of the Capitol for what they did to the citizens of the Districts. (What?!?!?!I thought they were fighting to end the crule hunger games?) Katniss votes in favor. In part because of Katniss's vote the answer is yes the Hunger Games will start again.
Then it's time for Snow's execution. Katniss has the task of shooting him with her famous bow and arrow, but at the last minute, she kills Coin instead. Snow dies anyway.
At this point, Katniss has a serious breakdown. Time passes but she's pretty much in a fog. Later she learns that she was acquitted during her trial, and she's sent back to the ruined District 12, along with Haymitch and later Peeta. Gale disappears into another district.
Over time Katniss is able to grieve for her sister and the many others who died. As she begins to rebuild her life, she and Peeta restore a romantic relationship and eventually have children.(As we all thought it would anyway)

Mocking Jay summry #2
Katniss is horrified by the way Peeta is being treated. The Capitol bombs District 13, just as Peeta warned it would. Citizens of District 13 retreat underground for a couple days. When it's all clear Katniss makes another propo while other rebel teams go to rescue Peeta.
The rebels get Peeta and some other folks out of the Capitol, but Peeta's been badly damaged. He's been "hijacked" (as in brainwashed) and now thinks of Katniss as the enemy. As soon as he sees her, he tries to kill her. Not a very happy reunion.
Once she recovers from Peeta's attack Katniss needs to be part of the action. She heads back to District 2 and is part of a summit about whether to attack the other side humanely or inhumanely. Gale suggests some inhumane kinds of weapons and strategies. During the battle Katniss gets shot. While recovering she bonds with another victor who we met in Catching Fire Johanna, and witnesses the wedding of victors Finnick and Annie.
After a second recovery Katniss trains to be part of the fighting again. She, Gale, and Finnick are assigned to a special unit that will be filmed during combat and turned into more propos. Right before they go out into the field, Peeta's assigned to their unit too. Is it just me or does that seem like a bad idea?(Considering he had tried to kill katniss once he may still be brain washed.)

Mocking jay summary #1
Katniss takes role in her new position as a rebel in District 13. She and a few others were rescued from the Quarter Quell (Catching fire), but Peeta wasn't one of them.....he's still missing, under control of the Capitol. Katniss is still haunted by President Snow. After much thought, she decides to be the leader, the Mockingjay, for the rebel side. In return, she gets immunity for her friends and permission to kill Snow. Another Games victor, Beetee, makes Katniss a special weapon.
Katniss has to star in commercials for the rebel side called propos. For one propo she and a team that includes her old friend Gale are sent into District 2, where they see a hospital get destroyed. This inspires Katniss to call for justice. Because the rebels are gaining in strength, and because Peeta has sent out a coded message to the rebels warning them of an attack. The Capitol releases a video of Peeta being tortured.

The Triangulation essay
Triangulation Essay
In our world there must be control but what will happen when it is taken to the extreme? The book Anthem, short story Harrison Bergeron, and movie Antz all have different societies that are subjected to obsessive control. So they are different but then again they are the same. If obsessive control exists in a society major outburst of rebellion will happen.
In the book “Anthem” the society controls everything! They choose what jobs people will have and once the job is given they will do that job all there life. The people all do the same thing. They eat, sleep, socialize, wakeup, and work all at the same time. This is the kind of control the government has on them. Also the people are always being watched so if they step out of line they were burned in the town center. They rebel against government.
The movie Antz also shows obsessive control, the higher ranked ants have rights to take away rashings if a ant steps out of line. In the movie the rebellious ant “Z” goes to a bar. Then the other ants say “5 O’clock time to dance. Then they all do the same dance. Z does his own dance and is told to stop. The control in this is huge because they all do the same dance at the same time every signal day. One part in this in the movie was when the higher ranked ants forced the lower ranked ants to build a mega tunnel that would soon lead to be the death of them…or will it? The higher rank ants new it would wipe out the rest of the colony so they went to safety while the others stayed inside. They wanted to start a new colony.
Finally in the short story Harrison Bergeron the obsessive control goes through the roof! First off the government always knows what you’re thinking which kind of branches off into they then give you handicaps based on you physical and mental abilities or disabilities. Some are weaker or stronger, some are dumber or smarter, or some are even prettier than others. So they will give you handicaps based off of that. They control whatever handicaps they give you so if you take them off they will know! If they lose control over you like they did Harrison. They will kill them if they become a threat to the government or society.
So you see now that obsessive control can really ruin your day. The three examples are only some of many dystopic societies that there are. If the technology keeps advancing as fast it is now we could very well end up in an obsessively controlled society.

They now serve both items on each side so there will be no more of that one line going half way around the cafiteria stuff again. It made me late for class and not have a chance to enjoy my lunch.
WKMS
I recoreded the weather for tuesday and wensday for WKMS. It will be in the 80's both of the days and not a high chance of rain. We also try to make the news funny in our own way so that people dont get bored. Last year all the kids in my class said that they didnt like WKMS and it was dumb. So im trying to make it exciting for both me and them. We also have ipads that hlp us search our weather and we take notes on what we could do next time to make it better.

2:This Picture relates to the text because in the near the village where Ishmael is supposed to finaly see his parents again, the people there work the feilds which can include coffee farming or banana forest. They harvest the hands of bananas and take them back to the village. The village where they take the bananas is being burned and the people being killed by the rebels.....is Iahmael to late????
3:A character from this section is Gasemu a older respected man of this village. A person to play him would be Morgan Freeman. Gasemu was an older man and Morgan Freeman is an older actor as well. He plays in alot of popular films and i think he would suit this role very well.
4:He would be wearing some simple shorts and a elaborate shirt with designs.
I can picture his shirt looking like this.....just picture this man as Morgan Freeman and you see the character. \/
5:Gasemu is the character which i have chosen to find a actor for and costume. I chose Morgan Freeman because he and Gasemu share some similar qualities such as.... They are both older men. They are both very respected people. Morgan i thought would best fit this role he is very popular in different movies and people could recognize him as once again another character.

A Long Way Gone-Director
1:How did you feel about the way the village took Ismaels crapes and made him walk on the hot sand????
I thought that this was a crule and horrible way to punnish someone for being mistook for a child soldier. He was walking to a village and they thought that he and his friemds were child soldiers. After they found out that they werent child soldiers they released them but took their crapes and made them walk without them.. By walking on the hot sand cause them to burn the skin right off their feet.
2:What do you think caused the village to mistake Ishmael for child soldier????
I think it would be pretty common considering all the rebels that go around and recurit child soldiers. It wasnt the first time they have been cought believeing to be child soldiers. If anybody saw or heard about young boys walking in groups them they automaticly assumed that they were child soldiers comming to kill them so they always jump and surprise Ishmael and tie him up.
3:How would the story have been changed if the author had not let the village where Iahmael's family was staying at burn down happen??
If they had not let that village burn down he would have gotton to see his family. Ishmael could have stayed with his family and they could have left the place together and go to a safer place. Gasemu would have still be alive not shot and dead. When Ishmael gound the village burned he went berserk and started to attack his friends and hit Gasemu in the face.
4:What questions did you have when you finished this section???
Some questions I had after i finished this section were.....
Did Ishmael's family die during the attack?!?!?!
When will they be captured by the rebels????
Will he escape?
5:What do you think caused Ishmael to attack Gasemu???
I think Ishmael attacked him because if they wouldnt have stoped on the hill to take a break then Ishmael would have been able to see his family before the attack. Ishmael was really mad and attacked Gasemu blaming him for not being able to see his family before the rebels burned down the city.
